Online Self-Paced Class
In this class, we will dive into what ancestral skills are and why they are important today. We will explore how these skills can contribute to the reclaiming of our sense of place and kinship with the inhabitants of the land we call home. We will also consider the current civilizational paradigm and learn about some inspiring people who are actively creating alternatives to it through the practise of place-based skills, community building, land conservation and ecological restoration. Lastly, we will brainstorm how we too can use ancestral skills as a medium to deepen our relationship to self and to our local human and other-than-human community, as well as ways to become active participants in the protection and regeneration of our local ecosystems and bioregions.
This class was part of the 2nd edition of LIVING AS SACRED. Living as Sacred is an online journey that will guide you in reclaiming your sacred connection with yourself, your relationships, with the human and other-than-human world, supporting you to remember how to live in reciprocity and respect and how to better serve our common home, the Earth.
