Surprise, surprise… there’s a video for you! 😁 During our Stone Age Winter Week in Kierikki, I filmed several clips of our experience together there with the intention of making a small video later to share with Kierikki and the members of our tribe.

My expectations weren’t too high since I hadn’t plan it at all beforehand. The idea only occurred to me when I was already in Kierikki, but I hadn’t brought my tripod with me for the trip. Thus, avoiding camera shake was a real problem, specially when trying to film with negative temperatures and no mittens on! 😆 Anyways, I filmed a few clips and wasn’t too worried about the final result. If it worked, it worked.

Back at home, I checked the clips and… they weren’t that bad at all! A bit of camera shaking, but I managed to remove most of it in post-production. The clips aren’t as diverse as I’d like them to be, and unfortunately not all group members are featured, but my main focus during the experience was to be present and minimize modern technology… So overall, I think I should actually be quite happy with the end result 😊

So if you’re curious to have yet another glimpse into this week, feel free to watch the video bellow. I truly hope you enjoy it!

My next blog post will finally be about the performance of my handmade clothing in the cold climate of the North! I know some of you are curious about this topic, so stay tuned, I’m already on it 😊 In the meantime, you can read about my Winter Clothes’ Making Journey and all the ups and downs that came with it here.

Sending you all my love!
Take care,
Filipa 🌙
